Gavin has over 13 years’ experience in the real estate industry specialising in Commercial and Industrial sales and leasing. Coming into the real estate industry with a background in the furniture and joinery industry, including achieving “Apprentice of the Year” and also export awards. Ownership of his own furniture business allowed Gavin the opportunity to become involved in the restructuring and transition from the industry's old apprenticeship model into the new trainee system with NZQA Standards. Through this time Gavin developed an extensive understanding of the importance for process management and governance matters, along with a passion for the value in the ongoing development of long-term relationships.
At Glass Miles, Gavin specialises in Commercial and Industrial sales, leasing and investments with an added focus on the project development sphere. Gavin says…"I am passionate about the facilitation process, bringing business owners, investors and land owners together and working through a development project to a successful conclusion". He continues: “Having been both a tenant and a landlord, plus having relocated a business, I understand the issues that the parties have to deal with”.
Gavin is a founding member of the BNI Advocates Chapter in Christchurch, a former rugby, netball and hockey coach and has served on PTA’s and Pony Club committees. His other passion is growing Peonies for export from his lifestyle block.
